I have delisted Majestic Bank from kycnot.me until this issue gets clarified and/or solved and their services get back up.

MajesticBank has been relisted as the issue is now solved and their services are back up: https://kycnot.me/changelog

u/tuxpizza Mar 25 '23 edited Mar 25 '23

Weren't they already delisted at one point recently? I could be thinking of another exchange

7

u/hoiru kycnot.me admin Mar 25 '23

Maybe you are referring to FixedFloat which was delisted recently

1

u/bawdyanarchist Mar 27 '23

Oh really? Yall delisted FixedFloat? Is it because they surprise KYC?

1

u/blario Mar 27 '23

Exactly and without refund. They just keep it.

1

u/bawdyanarchist Mar 27 '23

Criminal. I've used it quit a number of times for some pretty decent sized amounts. Guess I've been lucky.

Do they release your funds held hostage if you KYC?

2

u/Ghant_ Mar 25 '23

i believe it was up for debate , because their api was showing the trade preview would have less fees than they actually did

They used an ssl cert a while back that linked them to a insurance company out of Canada. Most Likely got busted . They where like Chinese Canadians out of Quebec .

u/SecureDistrict1 Mar 25 '23

I haven’t used them since they got banned from dread.

@tuxpizza

Their site has been down for over a week now I think. Something is very fishy with them. Their biggest "promoter" @MoneroBoating deleted his account (He was a paid shill). MajesticBank blocked me after I questioned some practices of their "EliteWallet" they were heavily promoting

Their site has been down for over a week now. Something is very fishy with them. Their biggest "promoter" @MoneroBoating deleted his account (He was a paid shill). MajesticBank blocked me after I questioned some practices of their "EliteWallet" (Cake wallet fork) they were heavily promoting. Their twitter hasn't been active since the beginning of the month. It's possible they exit scammed but I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet. They seemed quite invested in the Monero community and sponsored stuff but the situation is indeed fishy.

Edit: why has OP been mass downvoted? He's just asking a question

2

u/notsetvin Mar 25 '23

Pretty sure we know who is behind the majestic bank. They are on reddit.

1

u/Cult_ureS Mar 28 '23

Does it start with All and end with Ark?

7

u/Ur_mothers_keeper Mar 25 '23

That's a fucking shame.

The monero community has been more trusting than is appropriate as of late. I was actually a fan of this service. It only goes to show we have to be significantly more vigilant as services pop up and begin marketing to us. We need to get back to being ruthlessly vigilant.

MajesticBank shadily removed the CakeWallet logo that resides besides their logo in a Monerokon promotion then childishly lied about why this occurred. They later deleted that tweet.

Petty actions like that breed distrust.

3

u/tuxpizza Mar 25 '23

Ah yes I remember that one. You have a link to the tweet thread about that?

2

u/ariel4050 Mar 26 '23

*childishly, not childlessly

1

u/kowalabearhugs Mar 26 '23

Thx for spotting and sharing my mistake

4

Why'd you send them your money, you don't need a bank?

u/Inaeipathy Mar 25 '23

Were you actually on the majesticbank site? Could have been phishing

1

u/EconomicsOk9593 Mar 25 '23

What’s majesticbank?

1

u/tuxpizza Mar 26 '23

They are an exchange

1

u/4evermetalhead Mar 25 '23

Maybe they were TLA poisoned to get data and now forced shutdown??

Or it could be DDOS.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '23

u/Ghant_ Mar 27 '23

Does it seem like it was an exit scam that they backed out of? It seems strange they completely went dark.
