It's not THAT hard to find a park @ Melbourne Airport The Sky is Falling

Not excusing this but that carpark does suck major dog balls when it's busy, including the weird lack of pathing to actually get from your car to a station.

u/Jon-G1508 Mar 15 '23
Yeah its pretty hard, i fly every week and it can still be confusing.
But also on the flipside, i always park around a8 & a10 and theres always at least 4 proper carparks

u/Gansxcr Mar 15 '23
Probably showing my stupidity here but I'm not even sure how to get to A... I'm always in E-H bit down the other end

u/Jon-G1508 Mar 15 '23
Keep following the bus route and the letters will count down.
Or follow the signs to terminals 3-1 and there will be another entrance thats right near A
Just means you can walk 5 mins instead of waiting for a bus

You just lost your 4 secret parks to the internet. You fool hahahahahahahaha!! So where was it you said to head west to find them again?

u/mobileuseratwork Mar 15 '23
To counter balance: if you park at the complete other end, g/h, then your first stop on the bus when leaving after your trip

VIC - THE EDUCATION STATE

u/KGB_cutony Mar 15 '23
Yea but Nobody said it's the "educated state". I thought the antivaxx protests were quite clear

u/grisioco Mar 15 '23
you should write "bad park job" in your own feces on the side
8
u/IowaContact2 Mar 15 '23
Yeah but that would mean you'd have to stand there inhaling the aromas and quite possibly the juices of your own turds, all while trying to legibly scrawl messages across the side of their car.
Plus, you don't wanna be that dickhead that gets 80% of the way through your...artwork, only to realise you've run out of room for the rest.

Well they're gonna have a hard time finding their car when they return LOL.
"Hmmmm I swear I parked it somewhere here..."

People are just that stupid. I've had to point out to a person that they had parked outside of a carpark like this at Costco once and it took forever for them to even understand what I was saying, let alone realise their mistake

Noooo this is one of those special extra big carparks for special big car drivers, you can tell by the dashed lines…. Means big car /s

The car park is full of asshats like this one. They are far too important to find a proper spot like the rest of us

One fine, please. Coming right up!
2
u/drjzoidberg1 Mar 15 '23
I think owner might be OK with the fine. I assume missing the flight was worse option than a fine. Towing the car on the other hand...

I had to pick someone up for the first time for a few years a couple of weeks ago, arrived at 10:00 and had to go right to the top - I couldn't believe how full it was.
The flight was delayed so I was there 2 hours, cost $45. What a con.

Park at Gladstone park shopping centre and wait for them to call once they’ve landed. It’s less than 10 minutes drive to the arrivals pick up.
6
u/muddled69 Mar 15 '23
There's free 15 min parking about a 5 min drive away...
-4
u/fishbarrel_2016 Mar 15 '23
Doesn't help when the flight is delayed
5
u/lockieleonardsuper Mar 15 '23
The boom gates are rarely down and if they are operating you can leave and return as many times as needed
3
u/just_kitten joist Mar 15 '23
Can confirm I cruisily sat there for 45 minutes waiting for a delayed arrival and paid $0 back in December

Here is a tip for future.. have your passenger text you when they clear customs or baggage collection..You'd be only no more than 10 mins away..
This is a good app. Flightradar24.com

They seem like the types who carry some white spray paint in the car and make their own parking spot.

Why would you report this to the police? This is parked on private property - Melbourne Airport Parking is responsible.

I'm assuming you've never had to rely on the police here, if you think they're going to actually deploy cops and arrest someone for an illegal park

I was there yesterday, absolutely chokers full. Why would you let cars in knowing it’s full? And the green red lights to indicate vacant/occupied parking spots sucks big time too.
